Our Values
Protecting Our Hives
At Church Lawton Honey, our values are as simple as our honey: pure, local, and sustainable. We care for our bees with a deep respect for the Cheshire landscape, ensuring every harvest reflects the authentic spirit of our rural home. “Our Family, Our Bees, Our Future,”

Beekeeping in Action
The Journey
It all began with a single hive in a quiet corner of our woodland here in Church Lawton. What started as a fascination with the rhythmic hum of bees quickly grew into a family-wide passion for preserving the artisanal traditions of Cheshire beekeeping.
We spent years learning the subtle dance of the seasons, many long nights studying to ensure our bees thrive in the purest environments. By focusing on quality over quantity, we've remained true to our roots, harvesting only when Nature provides her finest liquid gold.
Today, Church Lawton Honey is a local staple, found on the breakfast tables of our neighbours and the shelves of village stockists. Our journey continues with every new bloom, driven by a simple promise: to bring the taste of our countryside to yours.

Meet the man behind the hives

James Skellon-Rowlands
For the past six years, most of my evenings have been spent with a book in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other, learning everything I could about bees. After work, while the children have quietened down, I’d be up late studying hive health, seasonal care and the delicate balance that keeps a colony thriving.
Those late nights, courses and notebooks full of scribbles have shaped the beekeeper I am today. Every jar of Church Lawton Honey is the result of that patience, practice and a genuine love for giving our bees the very best care.
